In 2011, I contributed a recording to the Pedal Two Compilation out now on Tulipa Recordings. The track was released under the alias PiP SquEEk.
Tulipa Recordings is the imprint of Hypnotic Techno purveyor Summer (Brendon Collins).
In my opinion, Tulipa is a catalog compiled of all-embracing electronic music imagined from the hearts and souls of its tuned in artisans. The Tulipa artist roster features a legion of dance music professionals I revered growing up as an aspiring DJ and producer including Oliver Lieb, Robert Babicz, King Unique, Jimmy Van M, Dave Seaman, Jamie Stevens, Chris Fortier, John Selway, Pig & Dan, Beckers, Misstress Barbara, Funk D’Void, Cari Lekebusch, Danilo Vigorito, and Jeff Bennett each of whom have influenced me at various times throughout my own musical journey.
I am humbled to see my music along side the work of so many talented artists and much respect is due to label boss Brendon as he is doing phenomenal work recognizing both pioneers in the industry as well as seeking out and featuring lesser known talent who have some serious production skills to go along with their eclectic tastes in electronic music.
Definitely a can’t miss label worth supporting especially if you listened to house and techno “back in the day.”
